Broad Street Run! Here I Come!

By: Joseph Norton

Its decided. I’m running the 10-Mile Broad Street Run on May 4th.

This is my first race ever (not counting ”Field Day” in middle school ha)
so I’m both very excited and unsure about it.
Several of my buddies and family members have decided to participate in
the upcoming event as well so I wanted to post
this little message for everyone and anyone interested in competing.
There is no cap on the # of people allowed to run so I
urge anyone whos got the ”chutzpah” (guts)…
to dare to do something great and run it.

Below are some of the more important information and links:

What: Broad Street Run (10-Mile Race, straight down broad street)

When: Sunday May 4th, 2008, starting at 8:30 AM

Registration: Begins mid-february, No Cap on # of participants

Minimum Speed: Participants are required to run a SUB-15 Minute Mile

Drug Testing: Because this is a legit race where you can actually set (and last year a kenyan guy did) world records, they follow the anti-doping policies setforth by USAntiDoping.org

The Official Broad Street Run website

I will be using a Beginner Training guide, which I got from RunnersWorld.Com
