How-To: Snack properly
Snacking is a necessary component to a diet. It is ideal to never go a few hours without eating and to do so you must have snacks. I suggest going the all-natural rout.
Typically, and there are exceptions, but typically the more natural and raw the snack the healthier. They tend to be high in good carbs, high in good natural fat, and high in fiber. Granola, nuts, baked chips (maybe..), fruit, etc.
Don’t Eat During…
Don’t eat during anything. Only eat when you’re designating your time to eating or to having a snack. Too often students will eat while studying. This same thing happens you eat while watching a movie, your mind is very attentive on other things (because you are focusing so hard) and you pay little to no attention to your stomach.
Get Some Bars
I suggest going to a bulk dealer like Sam’s Club and getting yourself a box of granola bars, or protein bars or one of the many varieties of health bars. They are extremely convenient and can sometimes taste quite good. It is important to read the label because sometimes poorly designed bars can be excessively high in fat (look for the bars with 1g of fat) and high in sugar.
